EU Sources - List of companies with largest job cuts - June 30, 2020

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, unemployment is rising in the EU. While furlough schemes helped some economic sectors and companies by putting employees on temporary leave, with governments paying a part of their salaries, others have been less fortunate. Companies across the EU have been cutting jobs - the airline and automobile industries in particular were severely hit. Some examples of companies who have seen large job cuts are Nissan (2,800 jobs cut), British Petroleum (10,000 jobs), British Airways (up to 12,0 jobs), Renault (15,000 jobs), Airbus (15,000 jobs) and Lufthansa (22,000 jobs).
