Netherlands - Unemployment slightly down - November 30, 2020

In October 2020, there were 406,000 unemployed, equivalent to 4.3% of the labour force. In the period August to October, unemployment declined by an average of 4,000 per month. Such a decrease, measured over three months, has not occurred since March this year. According to Statistics Netherlands (CBS), the number of employed people grew by 14,000 per month over the past three months. At the end of October, the Employee Insurance Agency (UWV) recorded 278,000 current unemployment (WW) benefits.
