Spain - Fewer young jobseekers finding work - February 29, 2020

The probability of jobseekers in Spain under 25 years old getting a first job fell by 1.2% in 2019, the second consecutive year of decline. The data show a downward trend since 2017 when the probability figure stood at 12.1%. In 2019 it stood at 8.9%. Temporary work is the main method of accessing employment for young people, since 7.9% found a temporary job compared to 0.5% who found a permanent job.
