Chile -Expert panel proposes 5.6 percent increase to minimum wage -May 30, 2013

Finance Minister Felipe Larraín announced  a commission of experts recommended a  5.6 percent increase of the minimum wage for government deliberation.

A 5.6 percent increase would mean the minimum wage will rise from 193,000 pesos (US$410) pesos to 203,882 pesos. If passed, the changes would come into effect later this year.
